Sshh; you
can hear the silence . . . Look what a view! Experience the space!
This environment gives a sense of freedom and at the same time a feeling of
modesty and closeness to earth.
50
km. north of the Dordogne you'll find the Limousin. Part of the Limousin is the
Corrèze: a lovely landscape with slopes, forests, landed estates, with brooklets
and rivers filled with clear water, with friendly villages, fresh air, nice
people, but most of all; space!!
he Corrèze is one of the poorest regions of France and it is said
that that is the reason why its inhabitants are so hospitable. It also is the
region of the sweet

Here on
the bank of the river Vézère, which takes its rise on the plateau des
Millesvaches 50 km. northeast of this area, at Pingrieux belonging to the
municipality of Eyburie, Aimée Porcher
is situated. Aimée Porcher is a splendid new camping ground for naturists,
to which the notion of 'space' applies in many senses:
On the more then 28
acres of Aimée Porcher you have the possibility (the space) to choose your
favorite spot; at far from others or near other people. You can choose from
different breathtaking views. You can choose for a bit of life nearby or for
a quiet spot.
Besides on
Aimée Porcher there is the opportunity (the space) to be
simply your own self. You can decide how you would like to spend your
holiday. The only thing that's important is, that everybody allows everyone
else that same amount of space.

At this moment there are
60 large stands available on the more than 10 ha. of Aimée
Porcher, most of them with electricity.
There is
a well equipped sanitary unit, playing possibilities for children outdoors
as well as indoors, a beautiful large pond for swimming, filled by pure
spring water; you can play and try to catch a trout in the river, you can
have a drink with others and it's possible to barbecue. We hope there will
be vegetables for sale, on some days of the week you can order a meal for
the next day, in a while there will be organized activities for children
and/or adults; you can join if you want.

In the
near and bit further surrounding area you can make enjoyable and
interesting excursions. One can go on a cycling-tour (bring your own bicycle
with gear!). Nearby you can rent canoes and kayaks or take lessons in
canoeing. Hors riding is another possibility as well as taking endless walks
through the woods and past the fields. And of course you can go out for a
splendid dinner in this part of the country, like in every part of France.
To end your day on your own spot, breathless looking at the rising
moon, or sitting by the fire with fellow campers
enjoying your memories, the company and the richness of it all . . .

And
the name?
Aimée Porcher owned this piece of earth.
After her death she left it to her two daughters. But these women left the
Corrèze and so the ground got for sale. "Aimée" means: "she, who is loved",
a very appropriate name we thought! Aimée Porcher
is really a little gift from heaven . . .
Next
season will be out fifth season on Aimée Porcher and at the moment we're
already busy preparing this summer, so Aimée Porcher will be a good place
to stay summer 2001.
For whom who appreciates it, we introduce ourselves here:
your hosts this
summer: Hans and Mieke .
We hope
to see you sometime at Aimée Porcher!
